Dubai International Project Management Forum

The presentation will provide a brief introduction to blockchain, the innovative/novel aspects of it, the problems it solves, and will then explore some examples of how the technology can be applied within the context of managing projects. The presentation will describe how blockchain can be used to give more visibility into supply chains around constructions, project accounting, certification of labour used on projects, the management of health and safety, and other areas related to large/complex projects with an emphasis on the construction industry. The presentation will also describe some of the nascent work underway in this field globally.
